Mae Kirsten yn weithiwr Datblygu Cymunedol cymwys sydd wedi gweithio mewn amrywiaeth eang o sefydliadau gan gynnwys y mudiad Ffermydd Dinas a Charchardai gyda phobl ifanc sy’n gadael carchar. Mae gan Kirsten MSc mewn Ymchwil ac mae wedi dysgu yn y sector Addysg Uwch yn ystod y 10 mlynedd diwethaf. Mae Kirsten ar hyn o bryd yn addysgu Gweithio yn y Gymuned, Gwerthuso Ansawdd, Iechyd a Gofal Cymdeithasol yn eu Cyd-destun ac yn cyflwyno cyfres o gyrsiau byr ar Gymunedau Bwriadol Ar hyn o bryd, mae’n ymgymryd â’i Doethuriaeth sy’n astudiaeth ethnograffig o Gymuned sefydledig yn y DU.
Mae fy ymchwil yn canolbwyntio ar ffurfiant cymunedau bwriadol, y profiad o fyw ynddynt a’u natur arbrofol. Mae gennyf ddiddordeb arbennig yn y ffordd y mae cymunedau bwriadol yn meithrin arbrofion cymunedol ac ymarferol ac yn ymgysylltu â hwy, a phrofi ffyrdd o fyw a all o bosibl ddylanwadu ar arferion cymdeithasol ehangach. Mae’r gwaith hwn yn canolbwyntio ar y broses sy’n galluogi arbrofi, a’r modd y gall bod yn ‘amgen’ hwyluso a rhoi syniadau iwtopaidd ar waith. Rwyf hefyd yn arweinydd grŵp ymchwil Cymunedau Bwriadol ym Mhrifysgol Metropolitan Caerdydd.
